Sarina Pasricha, MD

After completing her undergraduate training in biological anthropology and nutrition from Harvard University, Dr. Pasricha attended Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine for medical school. She subsequently completed her residency and fellowship at the University of North Carolina where she also received a Masters of Science in Clinical Research. She has published extensively in the most respected gastroenterology journals and has given more than 30 national presentations. In addition to receiving numerous teaching awards, she has received prestigious awards from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Pasricha’s research background will allow her to best use evidence-based medicine to individually treat her patients.

Dr. Pasricha’s clinical interests include, but are not limited to, prevention of colon cancer, evaluation and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophageal cancer, and women’s wellness and health with a focus on integrative gastroenterology. She has completed additional subspecialty training in motility disorders with a focus on esophageal motility, constipation, fecal incontinence, and prevention and non-surgical treatment of hemorrhoids.

Dr. Pasricha is a native of Delaware and is an alumnus of Sanford School. She resides in Delaware with her husband and two daughters.

Jared Hossack, MD

Dr. Jared Hossack is board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine.  He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was appointed the chief fellow in his final year. He completed his residency training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, a Harvard Medical College-affiliated hospital.  Prior to residency, he earned a joint MD/MBA degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Hossack has particular interests in researching ways to improve the quality of  care provided to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. He has published articles and presented abstracts on a variety of topics including quality of care issues in medicine, healthcare economics and liver disease. He is also an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Hossack has returned to the Delaware valley to practice gastroenterology and to be close to family and friends.  He is a focused, enthusiastic physician who values his relationship with patients and encourages patient participation in the healthcare process. He strives to provide the highest quality of care to all of his patients through technical skill, knowledge, empathy and compassion.

Gaurav Jain, MD

Dr. Jain graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University. He received his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the
University of Massachusetts and completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Yale University Norwalk Hospital. Additionally he did three months specialized Advanced Biliary training with world renowned Dr. Ram Chutani at Beth Israel Deconess Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Jain is a hard-working and energetic individual, who is experienced in all gastrointestinal procedures. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Jain is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association as well as the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Jain strongly believes that excellent patient care and satisfaction involves not only delivering the best quality medicine, but also listening to the patient and understanding them as an individual.

Prasad Kanchana, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine,

Dr. Kanchana graduated from Mysore Medical School, India with honors. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from State University of NY Stony Brook. Dr Kanchana completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology from Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.

Dr. Kanchana served as Deputy Medical Examiner in Somerset County, Maryland. He also worked as Associate Program Director of Gastroenterology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Dr. Kanchana is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has  multiple clinical abstract presentations and publications in respected medical  journals. His areas of interest include colon cancer, acid reflux, esophageal motility,  biliary Endoscopy and Hepatology. He believes outstanding patient care only comes as a result of treating patients with care, concern and compassion.

Scott Meyerson, MD

Dr. Meyerson joined Mid-Atlantic G.l. Consultants in 1998. Graduating with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, he then earned his Medical Degree from Temple University.

After finishing his Internal Medicine Residency at Cooper Hospital/ University Medical Center, Dr. Meyerson completed a three year Gastroenterology Fellowship at Wayne State University. He spent a fourth year training with one of the world’s renown physicians specializing in therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography) for the treatment of pancreatic and hepato-biliary disorders.

Dr. Meyerson is licensed to practice in Delaware and Maryland. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Meyerson’s philosophy in providing patient care acknowledges and supports the complex emotional issues that accompany many GI diseases. He feels a strong commitment to improving the quality of life of his patients
